Hydrophobic ePTFE Membrane
Cobetter expanded ePTFE membrane has strong chemical compatibility with pH 1-14, and is suitable for filtration of corrosive chemicals such as strong acids and bases. The ePTFE membrane features natural hydrophobic and high specific surface area. It can ensure air pass while blocking the flow of liquids, making it suitable for air filtration or water blocking and breathable applications.
Cobetter also provides ePTFE membranes with oil repellent treatment. In addition to preventing water pass, it can effectively prevent liquids with low surface tension such as esters, alcohols, and oils from infiltrating and maintaining excellent air permeability. Cobetter ePTFE oleophobic membrane meets the requirements of PFOA in the EU REACH regulation.
In response to the sealing process with different shells and the diversity of plastic shell materials, Cobetter has studied the welding applicability of membrane materials with various common plastics, and developed various specifications of support materials and membrane composites to be suitable for complex instrument assembly processes. Cobetter ePTFE membrane can be adapted to various assembly methods such as backing adhesive, compression bonding, hot melt welding, ultrasonic welding, etc. It can be welded with materials such as ABS resin, polypropylene, PMMA and PC, etc.
